Allan Argonza Puno graduated "Magna Cum Laude" and as "Class Valedictorian" earning the degree, Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Centro Escolar University Conservatory of Music, 1991. He also graduated "Cum Laude", Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Accounting from the University of Santo Tomas College of Commerce, 1983. From the University of the Philippines College of Music, Diliman, Quezon City, he finished his degree of Bachelor of Music in Voice,1995 where he was a consistent "University Scholar", under the tutelage of National Artist for Music, Prof. Andrea O. Veneracion.
Since he was five years old, Allan sang solo and played the piano/organ for his church and school choirs. For twenty years, he served as a Choirmaster, singer and pipe organist at the Manila Cathedral, Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Intramuros. Other notable religious services were at the Sta. Cruz Church, Manila for six years; San Isidro Parish, Pasay for four years; and the Shrine of Jesus, SM Mall of Asia for fourteen years, until the present time. He is the conductor of the Serenata Vocal Ensemble, a church-based group he founded twenty four years ago.
Allan was also the Choirmaster of numerous company and school choirs, including the Dept. of National Defense Chorale; the University of the Philippines Manila Chorale for eight years, where he lead two European Concert Tours in the years 2000, and 1998, when they won Third Place, Folk Music Category at the Salzkammergut International Choral Competition, Bad Ischl, Austria; Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila Chorale for four years; and the La Consolacion College Manila Chorale for four years until the present time, also serving as Faculty Member - Voice in the LCCM School of Music.
As a Certified Public Accountant, an educator and a musician, Allan hopes to serve the Almighty Lord and his fellowmen through his endeavors and musical compositions. He is an alumnus and former librarian of the world renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers.
